• The last day to change your political party affiliation and be eligible to vote in that political party's 2026 primary election. (KRS 116.055). Changes must be made online by 10:59 pm CT, or in the Adair County Clerk's Office before 4pmCT. 

Friday, January 9, 2026

The candidate filing deadline for candidates who must run in the 2026 Kentucky primary to file a statement of candidacy form/nomination papers.

Monday, April 20, 2026, is the last day to register to vote in the 2026 primary election. Registration must be made online by 11:59pmET, or in the Adair County Clerk's Office before 4pmCT. 

Online registration and updates can be made at any time at Govote.ky.gov, or in person during normal business hours at the Adair County Clerk's Office, 424 Public Square, Ste3, Columbia, KY. For more information, call the Clerk's Office at 270-384-2801.

The Kentucky Primary Election will be held on May 19, 2026.
